this is the funniest thing i've ever seen....ever...i mean it... and you are hilarious...oh my gosh...i need to go take a nap now.
The crazy part is this isn't even one of those stock photos that gets passed around to all the foreigners in China. I really stood this close to these guys to take the picture. I was at this place for New Year's Eve and I know these guys who are in the picture. I didn't even realize at the time that he was smoking and working with explosives. Call me "desensitized" but that's just how things work here. Crazy.

i guess the chinese are like the french in that they think their pleasures and "rights to enjoy life" come way before anything else...like fire safety around fire works!

Thanks Beth. I think you could be right about the French and Chinese being similar in this way. Freeing for them but very scary for everyone else.
