I think both offenses are pretty cheap. I thought it was extremely disturbing that these animals were being made to box each other but then also it's pretty cheap for the red one to be so stinkin aggressive. It was even crazier to see it in real life.

I think the phony "natural" background is also an injustice to the bears... I mean, bears, in the rain forest?

Of course Matt, I'm completely sure you would not have gotten any entertainment out of the whole deal ;-)

(1) Did you pay to see this debauchery?
(2) Were those real bears? (My co-worker thought they were kids dressed up like bears.)
(2) Do they not have PETA in Asia, cuz that mess would not be happenin' in the US! What is up with the chains around their necks?
(3) Is there anything similar that we do in the US? (Anytime you send out a really random cultural "moment", I try to think of ways we are like them.)
(4) Thanks for sharing your "special" moments with us all... you make the world a better place!

Well Cindy I must confess that I did pay money to see this but you must understand that it was in the form of zoo admission. This was a one of those little side shows that you can go to like at seaworld or something. Just here, it's not a cute dolphin jumping hoops, it's incarcerated young bears being forced to fight each other. Ahhh...all for the sake of entertainment. The locals really seemed to be eating it up. I too found it disturbing while we were watching it. Clearly, PETA does not exist here. As far as similar things that we do in America, I must admit that the Rodeos that I love to go to are probably not a far cry from these bears boxing.
